Steel Grounding Electrode

We are installing a secondary transformer in a existing building and need to connect the grounding electrode to building steel. The closet steel is a truss that ties into a main truss that ties into a column.

Is it permissible to attach the conductor to the truss?

Welded, bolted, riveted or such.

Basically all the pieces of steel needs to be firmly mechanically attached to each other.
