Hello all, I have read many topics about LED lights humming when installed on dimmers or being dimmed. I have recently installed 15 recessed cans on a job with LED trim/lamp combos. These are on regular switches therefore not dimmed and 5 out of the 15 have a slight humming coming from them. Any ideas why? The customer is very pleased with the look of the lighting and doesn't want to have to go with another style or brand so I am wondering if I switch them out with others if I'll continue to have the same problem until I get lucky and find ones that don't hum.

What brand are they.
I have not had issue with Name brand lighting like Halo , DMF, Juno.

Some of those that claim to be Cree can sometimes just be Cree modules and other power supply made by some no name knock off.

These were EcoSmart. I have since learned that they are a proprietary brand of home depot's. I ended up taking them back and stating my case and they swapped them out with a comparable Philips unit that have had no problems. It was strange since only a couple were making noise, and come to find out I have the same ones in my own house and haven't noticed any noise from them. Oh well, won't be buying them again.
