GFCI switch for dishwasher installed in Kitchen Island

Am looking to install a GFCI switch behind the kitchen island doors for a dedicated circuit for the kitchen Dishwasher. There are already circuits and outlets galore for the island. Home owner is against a garbage disposal as they are on a septic system. Looking for verification of the GFCI switch, as you know it does not have a lever just a set and reset button, to use as a cutoff switch for the dishwasher with out putting a GFCI breaker in the basement electrical room.

A gfci dead front switch can be used as a disconnect for the dishwasher. Now what about afci?
