I am bidding an in ground pool installation.

Home is 2 years old

E.C. set a 400A socket, came directly in with 1 200A panel then set a disco and ran 100' thru the basement to other end of house in AL SER cable and set another 200 A panel.

Will the un insulated grounding cond. in the SER cable prohibit me from feeding the pool house sub panel?

Ceiling is hard lid and there is no access to get to panel at meter.

Thanks

The exception to 680.25(A) seems to allow the installation describe.

Gus that exception is gone via an errata

Here is what it states

Gus that exception is gone via an errata

Here is what it states

Help me out a little, Dennis.
This may be a case of gus' early stage Alzheimer's and it's certainly a case of Gus only having a draft of 2014 (since TN is still on '08) but in the draft in 680.25(B) I see mention of the exception to 680.25(A) but I don't see the exception itself. Whut
happened :)(In this case would the allow-ability of the install not then be dependent on the Code cycle involved since the Exception is ion the '08 and '11)

y 2014 code book has the except but my pdf does not. Apparently in the earliest release of the NEC they forgot to take out the exception. So they put out an errata and then removed the exception from the document. The pdf had the exception removed

As far as allowing the use of the panel??? That would be an authority having jurisdiction call.
