i am looking for information on instuction for doing insulation tests on wire with a megger. any information or instruction will be of great help.

Follow the manufacturer's instructions that come with the tester. That will be your best source of information for making correct and accurate tests.

Bryan often some of the manufactures supplied information is limited in scope others is excellent.

Look to AEMC and AVO International web sites, very good sources.

Also play with the megger at a 1000 VDC, some paper and pencil lead. Click on the link below.

Use your megger for testing all panels, feeders and neutrals. Learn to trust your test equipment BUT question anything that seems unusal.
