We have an older warehousing building into which we are adding two new service entrances to in order to power new refrigeration equipment. Our typical design is to bond the electrodes of the services together (they are in three different parts of the building) with 4/0 copper. We have discussed that possibly the services being attached to the steel of the building is adequate for bonding the services together and that the copper conductor is overkill. Thoughts?

Re: Multiple Service Bonding

I beleive 250.58 is satisfied by bonding both (all) services to the same electrode. In this case, if the steel meets the criteria of 250.52(A)(2), you should be OK.
