You run your conduit before the grid goes up but after the black iron and pencil rod is installed. Typically the iron doesn't go up until after all of the duct work is up.

In Mrlucky's locale the pencil rod is there to support the hung ceiling and is installed by a lather. It's also used to support conduit, junction boxes, etc.

Yes there are no support wires involved here. K-12 clips on the pencil rod would be faster than drilling in anchors.

I took a look at those, look nice but my head is spinning. :D

What color would one normally use for coffered ceiling lights, I'm thinking 2700 or 3000K.

I agree with Dennis but if your using a 75 degree C conductor with 75 degree C terminals you can use #3. You could use the #4 with a 90 amp OCPD.

    Coffered Ceiling Lighting

It's a Con Ed specification cable, 10 conductors (10 point) all #9 AWG stranded conductors. Yup that is correct, each conductor is labeled #9 AWG with a special 10-point meter color code.

Yes, I did make some assumptions with the 90 degree C conductor. A 75 degree C conductor might also work if you can apply the next size up rule.

Yes derating is required because you have more than 3 CCC in a single raceway. Good news is that you can still use #12 AWG conductors.
