3phase 4w 277/480v panel. 3pole 30a breaker feeding a motor(connected load is 23.88 amps). How mn ay conductors? Obviously 3 hots...but not sure of the ground and neutral if they are both needed. Thanks.
You don't need the neutral (grounded). However, there must be a effective path for the ground fault. If the wiring method is metallic then you can use that as your EGC, if not then you need to install an EGC. (equipment grounding conductor)
Code requires handle ties if this is an MWBC with line to neutral loads, and you should use a single common trip breaker if it is only a single three phase load, in particular a motor load.Code requires neutral or handle ties, right?

You are celebrating your 1 yr. anniversary of posting under this name by posting "teaser" questions today. In your 6 years of posting here, hopefully you don't have to ask if a 3 phase motor needs a neutral.
