I am installing a Reliance 8/circuit 308a transfer switch. While my work will he signed off on by a certified electrician I doing the install myself. I have a very good understanding of the procedure except on what to do with the AFCI breaker. There are two wires one coiled white, and the other white connected on top where the black would normally be. My feeling is to wire tie the front white wire in the AFCI to the black coming from the transfer and the red from the transfer inserted in place of the front white wire I tied to the black. Thanks in advance for your answers.

My understanding is that when under generator's power you loose the AFCI protection.

Thanks again,
Mark
