If you want to be that way about it, you should have a code book and be able to look it up yourself. I don't have to know the code section off of the top of my head, because I know what it requires. I will look it up the next time one of MY apprentices can't find it.

The same Code citation you are using to use handle ties is the citation that allows the use of common trip multipole circuit breakers. Strathead is correct. All that is needed for the Code minimum is the single movement of the hand. . . this also allows the handle of a fused safety switch or the pull-out of a multi-fuse block or a non-fused multipole pullout.
