Has anyone had any experience with Energy Optimization Systems (EOS)? Supposedly these systems reduce kW & kWh consumption with resonance-free and no-load electrical conditioning. Apparently they use Phase Balancing (via magnetics), Power Factor Correction, Harmonic Filtration, Transient Energy Conversion, and Magnetic Chokes to help reduce power consumption and peak demand. A competing solar company has quoted one of these to a potential customer and is telling them this will save them enough energy that they can reduce their solar array size by two panels.

I've never heard of these systems. Do they work or are they just snake oil? If these do work like they are saying, are they worth anything to residential customers or are they really only beneficial to commercial electrical systems?

They are a scam.
Only commercial users might have a rate penalty for low power factor, and even then the systems are overpriced for what you get.
