So i hired an electrician to put an outlet above my fireplace for my mounted TV. All was worked great until i was watching tv and my wife turned off the kitchen lights and the tv shut off also. Looks like the electrician put the outlet on the same circuit as the wall switch for the lights. So coincidentally we are also installing dimmable lights in our kitchen. If i put a dimmer switch in and leave it on and dim the kitchen lights will the TV stay on? If not should i just have the electrician come back out and fix his mistake?

Thanks!

I am going to go out on a limb and say simply, "Yes."
