    About service

    Hi ,
    wondering,
if the utility companies allow a 600A commercial 4-gang/ meter service that has no main ocpd
to have (4) 200A tenant OCPDs
    or,
the total, sum all ocpds shall not exceed 600A ????????

    Thank you

    I'm going no.
800a with "you" being responsible to insure only 600a on their potential, no.
Better price up a big old disco and call the poco.

The utility companies around here want to know the load and what size service conductor you use. That's pretty much it.
Maybe, just maybe, if you show load greater than the rating of the meter socket they might question it.
What you describe is pretty common here.
At my age, I'm accustomed to restaurants asking me to pay in advance, but now my bank has started sending me their calendar one month at a time.

Each utility makes its own rules, to an extent. We hooked up installations like you describe routinely.

I dont see why not, although I dont recall even seeing 6 gang meter socket with no OCPD's. I have used/done 4 gang with no OCPD's and those are rated 200A per position. You can always use individual sockets too, nothing says that have to be ganged. Of course I cant speak for you POCO rules.
