    california rules.....

you have canopy lighting around a commercial building.
    it is 0-10 dimmable.

there needs to be a motion sensor that dims the lights 50%
after 15 minutes. title 24 rules.

the sparky didn't plan for it.

    a fast solution:

    lutron
    RMJS-8TNDV-B power pack
    LRF2-occRBPWH occupancy sensor
    Pico 3 button dimmable switch.

in extended programming, set the power pack
to occupancy level 100% (part on)
unoccupied level to 50% (part off)

instructions in advanced programming in the info with the power pack.

    you are welcome.

    California rules..... expensive
Having an inspector who is competent to fix the problem as well as just detect it....priceless.

this is a $100 fix, without much redoing of anything. that is not bad, to be honest.

it will work standalone, so the T20 365 day timeclock that shuts stuff off will make the
    whole thing compliant.

after a few years doing this, i have a phone book worth it's weight in gold.
i got the solution this evening, speaking with the senior Vive engineer for lutron.
he was gracious enough to call me back, and had the numbers for the parts in his head.

he was on his way to san diego for monday morning work. i owe him a cheeseburger.

As a trade we need to stop the "I can do it "cheap n easy", other trades would make you take down half the building to fix something, we try to do it through a 1/2" hole and cut each others xalls off to get the job. My point is make it easy on you let the customer pay.

no. i looked at the prints 4 months ago, when he first started it, and
the lights were not there then. they were added, and the EE didn't
put any notes on the prints.

so.... i discovered it last night while getting papers ready for this morning.
not doing his thing this morning, doing other ones.

Not saying walk away, just make them pay.
Ever have to get a factory guy to facilities? You pay, airfare, hotel, car, and payroll, they could have told you over the phone for free; I just see Electrical often leaves money on the table and jumps through hoops other trades don't.
