curious is anyone has installed LED lights on stringers. If so what type of light? thanks
Good question. We've recently transitioned from left-handed 100W incandescent lamps to right-handed CFL's. The CFL's last forever compared to the incandescent and you can put 4X as many on a stringer. I've seen new construction buildings going up with temp LED's, not sure what they're using or how you keep people from stealing them.

Any reason not to stick with CFLs?
They work great for temps and as Rob mentioned you can put a ton on a circuit.
Why do LED draw more causing you to put less on a circuit than CFL?
The LEDs may even draw less than CFLs but LEDs provide a very directional light source which is not going to be ideal for general temp lighting.
CFLs cast light in most directions.
