I noticed FMC being used as the main feeder to an elevator from a distribution board. The feeder (in FMC) is routed from a distribution board and terminates in a disconnect switch in the elevator machine room.

Per the 2005 NEC section 620.21(3) - i think this might be a violation unless the distance limitations noted are only related to the liquidtight.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Note 620.21(A)(3) is only addressing from the load side of the disconnect.

Key word within "Machine Rooms" and the exception is "LFNC" and 6' is the limitation on FMC within the "Machine Room"
