Generac transfer switch

Hello everyone, I have a customer that needs to move his 200 amp meter base to the opposite side of the house, he currently has a 14kw Generac generator with a Centurion 12 circuit - 100 amp indoor transfer switch. I would like to remove the Centurion panel and install an outdoor 200 amp Generac automatic transfer switch below the meter base. I am curious if this will work, I have called Generac customer service and they couldn't help me. It seems pretty straightforward to me, but I do not want to purchase and install everything and have it not work. Thanks for the help!

Those switches are service rated.
Should be a sticker in there to label it as service rated.
Have to separate grounds and neutrals past the switch to my limited knowledge.

You going to remove the centurion panel and tie the circuits back in, I guess?

Yes, it will work. Just bring the circuits back into a sub panel.

If your ATS is after the main disconnect, you don't need an SE-Rated ATS. If you are installing a new main panel, get one with limited or no distribution and feed-through lugs, feed the ATS, then feed a sub panel. Other option is a stand alone meter, feeding an SE-Rated ATS, feeding a sub-panel. Couple different ways to skin this elk.

Another option is to use a meter/main/ATS that Generac makes. Eliminates the ATS and sub panel, and you only need install one panel. Check and see if they have been approved by your local utility. PG$E approved them in California a couple years back.

yes, the centurion panel is going away, those circuits will go back into the main panel. thanks.

Unfortunately the meter/main/ATS is not approved here. I'll install the meter base with Generacs RXSW200A3 service rated automatic whole house transfer switch directly below it. Run 4/0 with ground SER cable from the ATS/disconnect to the main panel, separate grounds and neutrals and remove the Centurion panel. My confusion was over whether the RXSW200A3 could replace the Centurion panel without any problems. Thanks for your reply.
