I am running a 60amp outdoor subpanel less than 7ft off my main panel inside. There is currently an existing j box going from main panel to outside I’m going to utilize for this, but about 2 inches of it go thru 1/2” EMT conduit. I have 3 #6 THHN wires going thru it and 1 #10 ground also. It fits thru just fine. But according the conduit fill chart that’s not recommended. Is 1/2” EMT conduit a deal breaker for this amperage and number of #6 thhn? The only issue I could see is some sort of rule with the wires not having enough air around them to keep cool if at max amps but it’s only 2 to 3 inches.

Hot tub and shed are on this sub panel. will it ever pull 60amps. Maybe if both the hot tub jets and heater are both at full and the shed window AC unit is running plus operating table saw, etc. But that would be rare since the jets only run at full if someone’s in the tub
