Dear Shocking Friends,
Once again, I am on the horns of a dilemma and could use some opinions from folks who've seen some weird things.
I have a telecom shelter on a FL rooftop with 2 separate services. Both services come out of a power company room, but the field visit
guy (who works for the client and not for me), couldn't get into the room. He told me:
"I did not open these panels during my walk.
Power Panel #1 appears to be 240V, 225A, THREE phase. Refer to the main breaker.
Power Panel #2 appears to be 240V, 200A, Single phase."
From his photos, it's clear the 240V, 225A panel is actually 120/208V, 225A, 3 ph, 4W (attached pic). But there is no similar photo for Panel 2.
Panel 2 DOES have some 3 pole breakers in it though for a surge suppressor and a "Phase Mon" (phase monitor??) (see other attached pic).
Do you think they'd actually have a 120/20V SINGLE phase service for Panel #2? If so, could one gen back up both panels?
If it really is a 120/240V single phase service in Panel #2, could one gen back up both panels? I'm thinking no.
Does anybody have any insight? I'm just not getting my head around this.
Thanks so much!
