New single family dwelling construction.
200A MSP
Whole house will be PEX.
Main water line to house from well is PVC.
UFER will be used.

I'm I still required to install 10' of underground copper pipe and bond it to the grounding electrode system?

I can't remember where I saw it but "readily available" applies to new construction so the 10' of copper pipe is required.....

All grounding electrodes as described in 250.52(A)(1) through (A)(7) that are available at each building or structure served shall be bonded together to form the grounding electrode system. Where none of these grounding electrodes exist, one or more of the grounding electrodes specified in 250.52(A)(4) through (A)(8) shall be installed and used.

Key word - available.

Definitely there is no water pipe electrode for you to connect to. You’re probably looking at two ground rods only.

If the whole house was pex I would probably be super paranoid about making sure no metal appliances somehow got left unbonded. If you have a gas water heater make sure something running to it is connected to the grounding electrode system. If CSST is installed make sure whoever did it put bonding jumpers where necessary. This is why I still love copper pipe.

With a ufer/CEE no ground rods are needed
