It has been my experience to be suspicious of what the test of the story is. The history of the sdize of MCCBs has evolved over the years. If you are referring to vintage breakers the 225a breaker often is the same width as a 100/150a breaker but longer. Then the 225 evolved into a 250.
Then 100/150a (f-frame) frame was able to be reengineered to be up to 225a.
But, caution must be used because if your intent is to replace an f-frame 150a breaker with a 225a f-frame as the panel may not be listed for the 225a f-frame.
As such simply saying that the "f-frame" may now be available up to 225a may lead to an incorrect application without knowing what you are intending to do.
