Long story short - I want to retro my 100watt sodiums to LED- (almost 6500 bucks to replace w/new fixtures) - YEESH!! owner says the stadium looks terrible with the "yellowy" light. I need a short LED equivalent bulb to do the trick. My totally enclosed fixture only have room for a bulb about 6 or 7 inches MOL. I met w/ the Green Creative rep for my area the other day and she gave me several bulbs to try. - - All too long to work with the diffuser.

My question is what the heck are you guys using to replace your 100w HID's - ??

Thanks in advance for any help!!

Two manufacturers in our area who make retro kits are:

http://globaltechled.com/ I know you can source their products through CED.
and
http://www.energyharness.com/#xl_xr_page_index I don't know what distributors they use.

I know EC's who use products from both companies and they're happy with the products and continue to use their products.

I have no interest in those companies and they're not friends of mine; just companies I know something about because they are local.

I'm sure plenty of members this forum have brands they have had success with. Retro is quite popular.

100 watt sodium alternatives

100 watt sodium alternatives

We had 100 watt sodium fixtures in our parking lot, drew 268 watts/w ballast????(ridiculous, rated energy star also). replace them with these 27 watt BR40 5000K Kobi LED's from 1000 bulbs. Much better at about 90% less energy. Spread isn't as wide. You might want to try one and see what it does for you.
