I monitor a system for operation. I logged on late. 102 alarms from 1:56 AM to 6:16 this morning.
Alarms alternate: Drag Overcurrent, Drag Fail.
The drag moves very wet product. It was in the 50s when it last ran Friday. Weekend low temps have been single digits to teens.
What caused this problem and what was the end result at 6:16?
(How the hell it wasn't motor failure, IDK)

I guess it was too tough of a question.

Drag Fail indicates the counter on the load bearing of the drag did not make one count in 1 second. LRA on the motor but it was stopped each time prior to SC or OC protection activating.

They broke the drag chain.

It took them all day to thaw and repair.

The operator was asleep two hours when he got calls of over temperature on product. Some check valves on the steam lines had failed. He had a rough two days and was sound asleep as he made flakes when I walked in the next day.
