Gentlemen,

Why the Elec. Technicaian using '100amps' contact resistance tester instead of '10Amps' tester to test 3000Amps bus bar connections?

Can anybody give an explanation for this?

It is a matter of accuracy, the higher the test current the more accurate the readings will be at lower readings. A 3000A bus connection will have a very low reading so accuracy is important.
