I'm looking at 110.14(C)(2), Separate connector provisions.

Separately installed pressure connectors shall be used with conductors at the ampacities not exceeding the ampacity of the listed and identified temperature rating of the connector

I understand one place you might see this, is when you are bolting a crimp lug onto a busbar. Does this apply when that busbar is part of a manufactured product? Such as the secondary spades of a transformer or the busbar of a switchboard with bolt holes?

What are some other examples of where you can use this? I know about an otherwise-empty junction box, where you might install splices and taps, or even field-installed/mounted terminal blocks.
