I just wanted him to be familair wityh 334.80 brfore he "made his stand" and that was presented to him
If I were the "boss" and someone questioned me on using the 60 deg column, I'd go there to test his Coce knowledge.

I'm all for providing for future expansion and sizing conservatively, but No. 4 for a 20 amp circuit is a little excessive....

Most often the AC equipment is a combination-load and the manufacture must mark on the nameplate the minimum circuit ampacity and the maximum overcurrent protection device in keeping with 440-4(B), if so you use this information for the supply circuit.

Your case here is small enough it might be a room AC and then you need to comply with 422 and 440 VII

no its not nm cable, its all in emt. I just find it funny that my boss always cries poor but he oversizes alot of stuff that doesnt require it. I have a good grasp of vd drop so its rarely that.
