My office policy has been to use a rating like "22K/10K" in the blank when I specify a 110.22 label. Today I had a plan review comment under the 2005 NEC asking for the calculated fault current in the blank. I know that in '93 we inserted the "amps available". The text since '99 (I don't have a '96 handy) uses the term "rated" before the blank.
Is there a clear statement of what should go in the blank? I found proposal 1-97 Log #564 NEC-P01 which indicates that the calculated available fault current is not what is expected, but the Panel's rejection comment never really says what should go there.
