Can you have (2) 20" Wide panelboards directly next to each other and not violate 110.26A.2? Even if this was on a 40" wall it seems to me that the 30" working space width for each panel is meet. Or can you not overlap working spaces of equipment? As always....Thank you for your assistance.

Working space shall be 30" or the width of the equipment, which ever is greater.

The Way I Read This Is That Yes, You Can Install These Two Panels Side By Side Since You Will Only Work On (1) Of The Panels At A Time. This Way You Still Have Your 30" Wide Working Space.

That's the way I read it too Ed. The 30" does not have to be centered on the panel and I don't see where the working spaces of two panels can't overlap. Thanks again.
