12/2/2 for 2 circuits, sharing the 1 ground

Does it break any code to use 12/2/2 for 2 separate circuits (either 2 120v or 2 240v or 1 of each)? Do they each require their own ground? Thanks

No it's perfectly acceptable. By comparison, you could multiple circuits in a raceway and you're only required to have one EGC.

You can have as many circuits as you want and they can all share the same ground..... as long as it's sized based on the largest circuit.

You only need separate grounds if it's required by some other reason, such as an isolated ground.
