Does the NEC prohibit the passing of electrical conduits (galvanized rigid steel conduit) through a concrete wall penetration that already passes a thickwall water pipe?
The concrete wall is about 2-feet thick and there is no other opening in the wall to pass the 2 electrical conduits that are needed. The existing penetration in the concrete wall is 12" in diameter and only contains a 2" water pipe passing through it, so there is plenty of room to pass (2) 2" electrical conduits.
I really do not want to core drill a 2-feet thick concrete wall if I don't need to .:happysad: I've been searching in the NEC to see if this would present a code violation, but have not run across any NEC articles that prohibit this.
Anybody encounter a similar environment or situation?
Thanks,
