12 volt recessed lite

can a 4 inch recessed can lite that uses 120 to 12 volt transformer, be used inside a shower tub combo with a moisture proof cover?
and does it have to be gfci protected?
will a access door need to be installed because of the transformer that is mounted on the side of the lite?

As long as the fixture and trim are marked as suitable for wet location you will be fine.

The fixture does not need to be GFI protected.

The fixture housing should be removable by 3 screws or something like that, which is acceptable as access for the transformer, which I also assume is mounted to the j-box cover.
