I will be installing these puck lights.

.

Class 2 wiring is needed. I will be installing five of these in a run of cabinets. How long are the leads provided? If they are not long enough where do I splice them. Are the wires allowed to be run behind the wall? If so what kind of wire do I use to rough in the wiring?

did you read through art 411?

this does say it can be powered by battery in boats/RV's, but I'd say in those instances the battery exceeds limitations on class 2 power supply requirements, though you likely are using a power supply that has class 2 output.

Class 2 source still needs
CL2 cable if run inside walls, floors, ceilings. If not class 2 source it needs to be a chapter 3 wiring method.

How long are the leads provided?
You'll have to tell us that.

If they are not long enough where do I splice them.
With only 12v, anywhere.

Are the wires allowed to be run behind the wall?
Not the typical lamp cord.

If so what kind of wire do I use to rough in the wiring?
I usually use jacketed, in-wall speaker wire.

I suggest using a small plastic channel along the front or rear lip of the cabinet and making your splices within the channel.
