120/208V feeding a 1PH sub panel

Does anyone know if it's legal, via 2002 NEC, to feed a 120/240V sub panel off of a 120/208V 3PH, 4W panel? The main concern is that since the nameplate voltage on the 1PH panel says "120/240V", is that not inaccurate info for future use or will a name plate saying the voltage is 120/208 suffice?

Blmol: Good luck finding a nameplate with 208 volts stamped on it ;)

Just label the enclosure with your sticker to indicate 120/208V single phase. The panel is capable of voltages up to 240V, not necessarily 240V must be applied.
You will find many other items, such as some disconnect switches and circuit breakers listed for 600V. It does not mean that there is 600V available.
