Hi,

I am currently ordering an ASCO 300 Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) for a remote building in BC; 120/240V Input + Neutral.

They have an option for a switched and solid neutral in the ordering literature.

My understanding is that if the neutral and ground is bonded before the ATS, then the neutral must be switched.

Thank you for the help.

Unless your customer or you want a switched neutral there is really no reason to switch it. But if you do it becomes a separately derived system and you would have to bond neutral to ground in both sources.
I would not switch the neutral.
