I am feeding a small shop that is 200' from the house. I plan on installing USE cable rather than PVC and THWN.
The issue is sourcing the Quadruplex. I have no issues getting Triplex.

The question is, can I install the Triplex for the hots and neut and lay a separate USE-2 next to the Triplex in the trench for the grounding conductor?
If so, do I need to adhere the ground to the triplex? or just lay it next to it?

strange you cant get "4 wire URD" or "mobile home feeder" where you are, but if not yes you can place an additional conductor next to it. The relevant code section is 300.5(I), they must be "in close proximity in the same trench".

agree but be cautious on using "USE" as it is not approved for any interior wiring unless it is dual rated with an acceptable conductor such as RHW.
