120% Rule on a panel

Hello,

Eaton makes a 125A Meter main with a 225A Buss.

Clearly the 120% rule would be overridden. 225A x 1.2. = 270A. - 100A = 170A of Solar.

I would think the max solar is 100A, the size of the main.

Your post is a little confusing where you said 125A and then switched to 100A. But yes, you can never backfeed more than the service disconnect or service conductors are rated for. There's actually a couple code rules that say this, or at least imply it. One is that the definition of inverter output circuit includes everything between the power source and the utility or other primary source. And power source output circuit conductors and overcurrent devices must be sized for 125% of power source continuous current. Another is that the main breaker for the service can be viewed as a supply side connection, and also it defines the rating of the service. And power source overcurrent devices cannot exceed the rating of the service.
