120 volt underwater pool lights

After finding some badly rusted out conduit feeding 120v underwater lights at our high school pool, I disconnected power and locked and tagged out the panel. These are dry niche fixtures about 35 years old, gfci protected. The conduit needs to be replaced, but I think we should switch to low voltage lighting. Does anyone install 120 volt underwater lights anymore? It just seems like a bad idea to me.

rusted out conduit. Must have used the wrong type conduit. Even in the old days was it not Brass/bronze.

There are some low voltage LED retrofit kits on the market that would be worth investigating, IMO
