I have a existing landscape circuit. I am removing the old lights and adding landscape lighting posts, with a pagoda light on top. On the side of these posts you can add a gfci outlet. Is it ok to add a gfci outlet on this circuit? Or do I have to run a separate circuit? Thank you for your help.

Sure, you can put a GFI on that circuit although it will be powered through the original switch leg and therefore only be on when the lights are on.

Consider photo cell Dusk to dawn lamp control, then your GFCI can be on all the time unless there is a timer on the circuit also. rbj
