Putting in a time clock for a hotel, not worried about feeding the 2 120v contactors but not sure if the 208v contactor will work being fed with 120v. The 208v is needed for my outside lighting being some light poles and bollards. So 208 from the breaker would land on the contactor to feed the legs but can the contractor work on a 120v for the control of opening and closing it? The contactor is rated for 120-277

The contactor rated voltage is not the issue, what is the voltage of the coil? You can control it with 24 volts if you wanted.

To expand on the above: the contactor has a control coil that operates the contacts. The control coil can come with just about any voltage; 24V is common, so is 120V. Some contactors work with AC or DC control voltage, some only one or the other.

You will need to make sure your contactor works with a 120V AC control (coil) voltage.

You need to select a contactor with a coil that matches your control voltage and controlled contacts that match your load.
