I have been asked to provide details concerning the electrical clearance from 120VAC to ground for a new modification we are making to some Heinemann breakers installed in our plant. These were not secured in what I would call the ?typical? fashion. Mounting does not matter really; I can?t change that at this point.
The attached drawing is what is planned. What I need to know is this: what is the minimum clearance from 120V AC to the grounded support plate at the bottom of the breaker?
What I'm hoping to get is a document (IEEE, NEMA, etc.) that states what the minimum clearance should be. I have not been able to find any information concerning clearances.
