Without looking, I'd say yes for any continuous duty motor - which is most of the time.

Or put another way, thee is nothing about it being a soft starter that changes the conductor sizing rules.

I know of no code exceptions for soft start applications. After all, in most cases, you can set the start time to "0".

Most that been involved with switch to bypass after up to speed. Same as it would be for DOL or star-delta after starting.

The 125% requirement has nothing to do with the starting method or service factor.
