125A to 150A

Can I feed a 150A MCB panel with a 125A OCPD?
I know I've spoke on this before but have new info.
It's only for temporary install if that makes a difference?

That does not violate any NEC rules, whether temp or permanent.
FWIW, last I heard LADWP still requires a 150A service for a 150A panel, regardless of load or Main Breaker size.

Yes. The 150 amp panel doesn't care what size the feeder is. I could be 30 amps if the load calc only required that much power.
