127/220 Volts Single Phase

I have been reading that some countries are using 127/220 volts for residential power.

Has anyone heard of plans to implement this in the US?

Bennie, I do not think it would be feasible to implement in the US, unless you are building from the ground up. Not to mention some compatibilty issues.

If you examine what is used worldwide you should notice most countries either use 220 or 230. I do see quite a few that use 220Y/127.
