We are getting ready to install a couple of new generators. The generators are 480V but we are going to step that up to 12kV in order to feed 3 substations down stream. I just need to verify that the 12kV feeders can be ran in EMT inside the building. I've looked through the 2005 NEC and haven't found anything that says we can't. The question that has been raised is whether or not it needs to be ran in rigid conduit. The conduit is going to be racked in the ceiling, free from potential damage and the environment is not in anyway a hazardous location. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
