I'm working on a Military project where in the scope it states that we need to provide three 12V power outlets above a workbench.
Could someone please tell me who makes 12V power outlets and how I can connect it up. Would I provide a 120V circuit and then step it down with a low voltage tranformer? Any help would be much appreciated. I never came across this request before...

12VAC????????

Sounds like typical 12 volt DC receptacles that are commonly called cigarette-lighter jacks. You'll want to inquire from the source that gave you these requirements. If it is 12VDC, find out what current they need, buy a power supply wholesale and park it behind the bench wired to the receptacles.

I think those Hubbel midget twist locks are what normally gets used for that. They're a non-NEMA configuration.

Aren't you glad you caught this in the scope of work, surely its a typing error.

Since the US Army Corp, or the like is involved, you'll know what to do !

A CAD look

A CAD look

Come to think of it, I guess I should go look at the Army symbol Library for their CAD files, I couldn't find it.
I do recall a low voltage symbol, a single vertical line through a circle... don't know it been awhile
