13.8kv clearance

I have a lot light with a power distribution line of 13.8kv 2 feet above the top of the fixture. I need to service the light from the top. My question is the safe working area around the high voltage line.
Or do I need the power company to install a insulation sleeve on the wire above the light?

And 1910.333(c)(3)(iii) makes it difficult to get even that close, since you would not have anything to stand on to work on the luminaire.

True, but the original poster said he was going to access it from the top. Hanging over the roof, maybe?

Personally, I'd have it wrapped.

Call poco to schedule the work and consider moving the light while you're going through all that.
