Hope someone can answer this newbie question. I have a modular home that has #14 gauge inside lights etc.. I built a deck and want a light and a couple of fans on the deck for the summer. Can I take the electricity from an inside outlet and drill through wall outside? Can I put a plug/outlet outside and use #12 gauge wire OR do I NEED/Required to use the #14 gauge as inside? What would the consequences be if I continue with #14 wire; would that be enough juice for the fans/lights on deck? Would really like to use #12 if possible.
