went to look at a printing press today id card reads 230v 60hz 30 amp
building has 208 3 phase there's a 15kva 480 v primary delta 240v secondary delta transformer attached to this press with a 60 amp on the primary's at the mlo secondary's come out of the transformer 10gauge wired to a L14-30 ?

sorry sleeping here i know the secondary's need ocpd or am i missing something here and and the id tag states 230volt 30 amp yet machine requires 460 volt?

Unless I am mis-readimng, it sounds like, in it's previous life, the machine was located at a facility where 230 was not available and the transformer was installed to match that facilities 480v system.
Unless you have 480, I would think you could abandon the transformer.
As to operating the machine on the 208 system, there are a lot of variables involved. In the worse case scenario the simplest solution might be to install buck-n-boost transformers in place of the 480 one.
