Hey I'm installing my first 1500 v system. Trying to figure out how to safely perform an open circuit voltage test. Do they make a 2000v multimeter?

I use a digital scope with probes that go up to 15kV.

Also they make high voltage probes with lead set for scopes and for meters. (For example: https://www.grainger.com/category/m...sting/test-instruments/ecatalog/N-b9tZ1yzi5yr )
If you want to keep the safety certifications in effect you will probably have to use a probe set from the same manufacturer as your meter.

You can probably also find a clip lead attachable voltage divider rated for that voltage that has a 1/10th or 1/100th voltage output for your meter to connect.

The critical thing for any voltage divider type adapter is that you need an absolutely solid ground connection for the voltage divider to work. Lift the ground and you would have 1500V on everything in your meter circuit.
