Hello fellow sparkies. This is my first post but not my first read. i have a 2 story building with the second elevation continuing backside with other out buildings at the 2nd, higher, elevation(if that makes sense).
The MSB is located in the 1st floor elevation. the general contractor kinda f'ed me to try and come out of the bottom of MSB and 90 up to the 2nd elevation. also my own company f'ed me by not giving me a pull section in my MSB. so no more space in the bottom.
So im getting creative. ive ran this by my IOR and GC and EIOR and all are cool with it. BUT im still worried about water flow and my presentation to the EE and most importantly SE(structural engineer).
My plan is to take my 2nd elev. feeders out of the top of MSB through the retaining wall at the bottom of the 2nd floor(penetration should put me at vault depth 2nd elevation). then proceed to 90 into the side of the vault.
My concern is water. structurally we have a detail for added rebar around conduits so no biggie imo. i want to make sure i dont create a shower into MSB. not a good thought even though its only 120/208.
My thoughts include kicking the pipes down to create a low spot and bore weep holes at that point. and to seal both ends with that polywater duct sealant. any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.
